Sony PS5 DualSense Edge wireless controller revealed at Gamescom Open Night Live 2022
Sony’s DualSense Edge controller is extremely customizable. You can remap or deactivate certain button inputs, adjust stick sensitivity and dead zones, as well as customize triggers to change travel distance and dead zones. What makes this highly customizable controller even better is the ability to save controller settings in multiple control profiles. With this feature, you can create multiple control profiles for different games and switch profiles on-the-fly. Besides these, the DualSense Edge controller has a dedicated Fn button that lets you switch control profiles, adjust game volume and chat balance, and open up controller profile settings menu to create and test new control settings while playing a game.
The DualSense Edge controller also has three types of swappable stick caps and two sets of swappable back buttons that can be customized for any button input. Each individual stick module on the controller is replaceable, but replacement stick modules need to be purchased separately. Along with these, the DualSense Edge controller comes with inbuilt DualSense features including haptic feedback, microphone, adaptive triggers, motion controls, and more. The controller will come with a USB Type-C braided cable that uses a connector housing to prevent players from dropping it. Sony is yet to reveal the price and launch date of the DualSense Edge controller.
