2024 Mahindra Bolero Classic walk around review [Video]

Mahindra Bolero was once the best-selling SUV in the Indian market. While it may be a rare sight in the Tier-I cities, the Bolero continues to rule the roads in the Tier-II and III cities. Mahindra has recently updated the Bolero and here is a walkaround of the updated model.

The walkaround by Fuel Injected shows the Bolero Classic parked in a dealer stockyard. This is the B6 variant of the Bolero, which sits between the B4 and B6 Plus variants. The Bolero still looks similar to the older version but now gets a few updates to make it fresh.

The front end gets a few tweaks including a new bumper and grille. The video emphasises the metal bumper of the Bolero, which also complies with pedestrian safety. The middle variant gets steel rims with wheel covers. There are exposed hinges like before and the five-door Bolero looks quite rugged too. The spare wheel is mounted on the boot door and is of the same size as the other wheels.

The cabin is beige in colour and the video shows the space as well. The rear gets jump seats that can seat up to 4 people. They can be folded to keep your luggage as well. There is ample of space in the middle row and the armrest can be folded up to make space for another passenger.

The dashboard remains very simple in design. However, the instrument cluster has been upgraded to add a modern touch. The new Bolero gets a fully digital instrument cluster. There is a centre console that shows various information like TPMS readings.

There is a different console for AC too. Also, according to the Indian safety standards, the car comes with dual airbags, ABS and EBD.

The Bolero only offers a diesel engine option. It is the same unit of a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 75 Bhp and 210 Nm of peak torque.

There is no direct competitor of the Bolero in the Indian market. It remains the favourite choice of many in rural areas because of its ruggedness. With the updates, the new Bolero now offers a lot more features and finesse compared to the model available before.
