2024 Maruti Dzire Spied For First Time in India During Test, Launching Soon

It has been reported that the updated or next-gen Desire is likely to hit the market first half of 2024. However, the company is yet to confirm the details.

The leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce both updated Swift and Desire in India soon. As Swift already made its presence felt last year during the Tokyo Mobility Show, Desire came late to the part. Now, it has been spotted for the first time while testing.

It has been reported that the updated or next-gen Desire is likely to hit the market first half of 2024. However, the company is yet to comment on the related details.

Expected Updates

According to the spy shots, the upcoming Dzire will likely share some of the design elements from the fourth-generation Swift. It will come with a few noticeable cosmetic changes, making it look more premium and appealing than ever.

Despite being covered with heavy camouflage, the upcoming Desire was flaunting a few upgrades from outside. It is expected to get an improved grille and a revised headlight setup, paired with fog lamps at the bottom.

Front and Rear Updates

Going by the leaked images, it seems like the vehicle might come with an improved bonnet, making the vehicle more muscular this time. At the back, it could flaunt a bold yet sleek tail lamp with an updated tailgate design.

Engine and Power

Under the hood, the upcoming Desire will continue to share the same engine option as Swift. It will be powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2L 3-cylinder Z-series petrol unit, which will generate a max power of 82 bhp and 108 Nm of peak torque.

As far as the mileage is concerned, this powertrain setup is expected to provide an impressive fuel efficiency of 24.5 km/l.
