French car manufacturer Renault, in the last few months, launched their 2024 lineup of cars. The manufacturer updated their entry-level hatchback Kwid, Triber, and their sub-4-meter compact SUV Kiger. Renault Kiger is currently one of the most affordable SUVs one can buy in the segment. It is also a bestseller for Renault in India. The manufacturer has now released a new TVC for this sub-4-meter SUV.
The video has been shared by Renault India on their YouTube channel. Renault is portraying Kiger as an SUV that appeals to a young audience or to those who are young at heart. The bold styling of the SUV contributes to this appeal. The SUV seen here in the video is actually finished in black, which looks extremely good on this compact SUV.
In terms of design, the 2024 version of Kiger remains the same as before. The SUV gets a premium-looking front grille with chrome garnishes. The front grille extends to meet the LED DRLs and turn indicators. The muscular-looking front bumper with triple LED headlamps goes well with the overall SUV look of Kiger. In a bid to make it look more SUV-ish, Renault has even added black claddings on the lower part of the SUV. We also see a faux skid plate both at the front and rear to complete the look. This new TVC, in fact, is focusing more on the exterior design and how it grabs the attention of people on the road.
Coming to the side profile, the car reveals the new alloy wheels with red inserts. The wheels actually give it a sporty appeal. The brake calipers on the Turbo version of Kiger are finished in red to make it look sporty. The video doesn’t show the interior of the SUV, but we know that Renault has done some changes in this department too. Renault has given the cabin a premium look by adding semi-leatherette seats and a leatherette steering wheel. The SUV also comes with a welcome-goodbye sequence with auto-fold outside rear-view mirrors (ORVM) and a bezel-less auto-dim inside rear-view mirror (IRVM).
With the 2024 variant, Renault has also started offering more features in the lower variants. For example, auto AC and power-fold ORVM are now available with the RXT(O) variant. Cruise control on the RXZ ENERGY variant, and LED cabin lamps on all variants. For added safety, all variants now feature a rear seatbelt reminder too.
Renault Kiger competes with cars like Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza in the segment. This compact SUV is available with two engine options and both of them are petrol. The first is a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 71 Bhp & 96 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox option. The next is a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 98 Bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual and CVT gearbox options. The price for the 2024 Renault Kiger starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
