50% higher than 2022, thanks to facelift

Earlier in October of this year, Tata Motors launched the brand-new Safari Facelift in India. The company launched this SUV with a starting price of Rs 16.19 lakh, and it goes up to Rs 27.34 lakh. Ever since the launch, it has quickly garnered a lot of attention from the buyers in the country, and its sales have doubled in the last few months. Recently, it has been reported that in November 2023, Tata has managed to dispatch a total of 2,207 units of the Safari.

November sales analysis: Tata Safari

As mentioned above, in the month of November 2023, Tata Motors has sold a total of 2,207 units of the Safari. Earlier in the same month of last year, the company managed to dispatch only 1,437 units. This gives Safari a Year-on-Year growth of an impressive 54 percent. Additionally, on a month-on-month basis, the Safari sales have performed even better with a growth of around 65 percent. In October, the company managed to sell around 1,340 units of the Safari, which was less than 2,207 units of November.

Reasons behind this exponential sales boost

Now, a lot of people may be wondering why Tata Safari’s sales soared so much in the last month. Well, there’s not one but four reasons behind this phenomenon. If you are curious about them, then read on.

Newly facelifted

One of the biggest reasons behind the surge in sales of Tata Safari has to be credited to its new facelift. Tata Motors, this time around, has given the Safari facelift an extensive exterior and interior design overhaul. The Safari now gets a distinct new front-end design which differentiates it from the Harrier. It gets a connected LED DRL, new LED headlights, and a ton of other aesthetic upgrades which make it look a lot more premium than before. All of these updates have contributed to its newfound success in the country.

Gets a ton of new features

Not only has Tata Motors made the exterior of the new Safari facelift more premium, but it has also continued to offer the same premiumness on the inside as well. The new Safari facelift gets a much more modern and luxurious interior with the top-of-the-line Accomplished variant coming with an all-white interior.

The list of tech inside the new Safari facelift includes a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a 26.03 cm digital instrument gauge cluster, a smart e-shifter, ventilated front and middle row seats, a 31.24 cm Harman touchscreen infotainment system, touch-based HVAC controls, leather upholstery, a 10-speaker JBL music system, a 360-degree camera, ADAS features, and a ton of other new features.

5-Star Global NCAP safety rating

Another one of the main reasons behind the success of the Tata Safari facelift is that it recently received a perfect 5-star safety rating score from Global NCAP. The SUV comes with 6 airbags as standard; it also gets electronic stability program (ESP), electronic parking brake (EPB) with an auto-hold system, hill hold control, and seat belt reminders for all occupants. The car also gets level 2 ADAS with a number of features along with a 360-degree reverse camera.

Good ride quality

Now many people have criticized Tata Motors for not offering the Safari with a ladder-on-frame chassis. However, the new monocoque chassis has helped the Safari facelift to achieve an immensely improved ride quality on the road. The car comes with retuned suspension and updated dampers. The company has also improved spring rates and has added new bushings, giving the Safari a much more plush ride than before, despite the car riding on bigger 19-inch alloy wheels.
