A month on, taking stock of Grievance Appellate Committees for social media companies



It has been a month since three Grievance Appellate Committees (GACs) were formed on March 1 enabling users with a redressal mechanism to appeal against content moderation decisions taken by social media platforms. In the past one month, the GACs have received 33 appeals out of which 19 have been disposed of.
