A Tiny SUV with Big Surprises

When we hear the name Mitsubishi Pajero, we imagine a big, bulky SUV. However, what if we tell you that there is a tiny version of the Pajero that was made specifically for Japan, and it is smaller than a hatchback? Well, you’d say that we might be lying. So if you are one of those who would think the same, then you have come to the right place. Here is a video of what is one of the rarest Mitsubishi Pajeros in the country, which costs a whopping Rs 65 lakh and can barely fit two people.

Mitsubishi Mini Pajero

The video of this extremely unique Mitsubishi Mini Pajero has been shared on YouTube by Mihir Galat on their channel. It starts off with the presenter introducing the mini Pajero and its owner and asking him about this SUV. The owner then replies that this is a mini Pajero and it comes with a tiny 660cc petrol turbo engine. He adds that despite being this small, it comes with a 4X4 system as well as a manual transmission.

Following this, he adds that this mini Pajero was especially more popular in Japan as the country has very small roads. Showing the car, he mentions that it has around 95,000 km on the odometer, and it is in an all-original condition. He then proceeds to show the fabric foldable sunroof of the SUV, which is a unique feature and comes in no other Pajero in the country.

How did the owner buy this mini Pajero?

After talking about the car, the presenter asks the owner how he acquired this unique SUV. To this, he replied that he was used to seeing this vehicle since his childhood, and it belonged to a family in Bandra, Mumbai. He then revealed that when they decided to sell it, he went and negotiated with them. The owner added that there were a number of other people who were negotiating with the previous owners; however, he was lucky enough to get this mini Pajero.

Next up, the presenter then hands over the camera to the owner of the car and stands beside the mini Pajero. It can be then noted how small the mini Pajero is compared to a tall person. The owner of the car and the presenter then take a seat inside and show the interior of the car. The presenter mentions that this is a one-off spec mini K-Series Pajero in India because it has a powered foldable sunroof. He then shows the interior, which is a pretty basic interior with a manual air conditioner, analogue dials, and a 4X4 lever.

Other cars owned by the owner

The owner mentions that he loves Japanese cars, and it is why he owns a number of them. One of the main cars in his collection is his Nissan R35 GTR, also known as the Godzilla. The owner’s GTR is currently the fastest GTR in India as it makes mind-bending 1100+ bhp. The complete engine has been modified by the owner along with a number of other modifications to achieve this tag. This particular car was the fastest car at the 2023 Aces of Speed with a quarter-mile time of just 9.496 seconds.
