Air India partners with HBA for a luxurious lounge makeover at Delhi and JFK airports, elevating the travel experience for premium guests globally.

Air India, the leading airline carrier, is set to revolutionize its lounges at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 in New Delhi and JFK Airport’s Terminal 4 in New York.

To achieve this, the airline has enlisted the expertise of Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), a world-renowned hospitality interior design firm.

This strategic move signifies a pivotal point in Air India’s transformation plan, aiming to elevate the overall customer experience throughout their journey. The refurbishment project, scheduled to commence shortly, is geared towards crafting signature lounges that cater to over four lakhs premium guests flying with Air India.

The renovation project, scheduled to kick off shortly, is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating an environment that reflects the rich cultural heritage of India while providing state-of-the-art amenities. The lounges will not only be visually appealing but will also offer a diverse and delectable selection of both Indian and international cuisine. The aim is to provide an unparalleled level of comfort and sophistication.

Ian Carr, Co-CEO of HBA, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are honoured to partner with Air India and are dedicated to delivering an exceptional hospitality design experience. Our primary focus is to create a meaningful environment for Air India passengers, allowing them to experience the airline’s inspirational brand and lounges in a fresh and innovative way.”

This project is just the beginning, as Air India simultaneously works on expanding its lounge network to other major airports globally. The aim is to extend the enhanced lounge experience not only to first-class and business-class passengers but also to eligible FFP (Frequent Flyer Program) members and Star Alliance partners.

With a commitment to excellence in design and customer service, Air India’s collaboration with HBA is poised to redefine the standards of luxury and comfort in airport lounges, setting the stage for a new era in premium travel experiences.
