Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston in Denver promoting mezcal

Actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston are cooking up a buzz this week as they embark on a tour around Denver promoting their mezcal, Dos Hombres.

The duo, perhaps best known for their partnership as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman on the TV series “Breaking Bad,” has been popping up at bars, Costcos and liquor stores across the country this year and signing bottles of Dos Hombres for hordes of fans.

That’s one reason we’re guessing the website neverendingtour.com only lists the dates Paul and Cranston will be in the area: March 9-12. However, The Denver Post has been able to confirm two locations where the actors will be:

  • Friday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at Hazel’s Beverage World at 1955 28th St. in Boulder, CO 80301
  • Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Total Wine & More at 9505 E. County Line Rd. in Centennial

Sean Oliver, manager of Hazel’s Beverage World, said the liquor store is stocked with close to 500 autograph-ready bottles of mezcal, which he hopes will be enough for local fans. Customers are limited to two bottles of Dos Hombres, which cost $59.98 each.

“The state manager for Dos Hombres said they had over 500 people at their last event they did in Houston. Also the signing in Las Vegas was massive,” Oliver said.

While Hazel’s opens at 8 a.m., the actors won’t be there until two hours later. Fans can line up outside the building and about 25 will be invited inside the store for the bottle signing at a time, Oliver said.

Paul and Cranston debuted Dos Hombres mezcal in 2019 made with espadin agave from Oaxaca. It’s unclear where else the duo will show up around Denver. If you see them around town, let us know where by emailing cricciardi@denverpost.com.
