Nevertheless, James Gunn reveals something interesting on the audio commentary for Guardians 3‘s VOD release (more on that in a moment). He confirms that the adorable Furry F’Saki Blurp was originally a cat, before Goose from Brie Larson’s MCU debut meant he had to switch things up. As Gunn explained:
“That’s what Blurp originally was but… Captain Marvel came out, which had a cat in that movie that has a big role, and I know has a role in the upcoming Marvels film. And so I had to change Blurp to something besides a cat because it seemed too repetitive.”
