Pushkar Limaye, Prathmesh Joshi and Rohan Vadgaonkar’s Carnot Technology uses an AI-enabled IoT platform to monitor tractors and improve the earning potential of farmers, harvesters and tractor owners.

The three graduated from IIT Bombay. During their stint there, Pushkar and Limaye were core team members of the IIT Bombay Racing group that develops and deploys innovative technologies for automobiles.

They founded Carnot in 2015, a few years after their graduation. The journey actually began with a smart connected devices project for automobiles, called Carsense, that they started in a 200 sqft office in Mumbai with seven people. After spending two years on that, they pivoted into the agritech space because they felt it was underserved.

Carnot provides solutions for those renting tractors through its Krish-e platform. The platform has over 25,000 tractors, harvesters and sprayers working on over 3 million acres of land each season. It expects to reach the 1 lakh mark over the next 18 months.
