Gaming studio Electronic Arts have signed a multi-game deal with Marvel to bring popular Marvel heroes in action adventure-based games. The upcoming Black Panther game is one of the titles, and it is being developed by Cliffhanger Games. According to a report by WhatIfGaming, EA has posted two job listings looking for a Senior Software Engineer and a Senior Game Designer for the game. This listing has suggested some key details about the upcoming title.

What the job listing has revealed
The job posting has revealed that the game will follow an “Open-Story” design. This suggests that the upcoming Marvel’s Black Panther title will be a player-driven RPG. As per the report, the game will feature an open world that will allow users to explore Wakanda more freely. The listing also revealed that EA’s Black Panther is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 so players can expect improved fidelity for the game.

Earlier, EA has already announced that it wants to create this game as an expansive and reactive world. The publisher also mentioned that the single-player game will also make the players feel like actual protectors of Wakanda. The company is yet to announce an official release date for the upcoming title.

The project is being led by Kevin Stephens, who was Monolith Productions’ studio head during the development of the Shadow of Mordor franchise. EA has also confirmed that other developers who have worked on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, along with veterans of Halo Infinite, God of War and Call of Duty, are already part of Cliffhanger.

Apart from Black Panther, EA is developing multiple other Marvel games. In October 2022, EA and Marvel signed a multi-title deal for at least three action-adventure games for console and PC. The company has also announced an Iron Man game which will be developed by Star Wars: Squadrons and the Dead Space remake maker Motive Studios.
