Galaxy A55 and A35 cases make them look even more like flagships

Another day, another Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 leak. This time, a handful of seemingly official renders of protective cases for the unannounced mid-range phones have surfaced online.

These renders highlight some of the design elements we’ve become acquainted with for the 2024 Galaxy A lineup. They also confirm that these mid-range phones look almost indistinguishable from the Galaxy S24 flagship series when wrapped in some of these official accessories.

Several Galaxy A35 and A55 case models are included in these leaked image galleries, including Smart View Wallet, Standing Grip, and Silicone cases in color, transparent, and semi-transparent finishes (via Appuals).

One thing to note is that the Standing Grip case, i.e., the one with a strap-kickstand hybrid design at the back, might not be available for the Galaxy A35. It could be exclusive to the A55.

Based on these renders, the Galaxy A55 Standing Grip case look astonishingly similar to the Galaxy S24 accessory with the same name, save for the fact that the colors and color combinations are slightly different.

Some cases make the Galaxy A35 and A55 look even more like flagships

The most prominent design element that differentiates the Galaxy A35 and A55 from the higher-end Galaxy S24 is the so-called “Key Island.” It’s characterized by a segment of the frame that protrudes around the side buttons, and it’s something that only exists on mid-range Galaxy A phones. Example below.

Interestingly, this Key Island element is no longer visible when the Galaxy A35 and A55 are wrapped in some of their official cases, like the Smart View Wallet Case, the Silicone case, or the Standing Grip case. And the phones begin to look a lot more like the Galaxy S24.

As for their case-free design characteristics, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 have Infinity-O displays with thicker bezels (than flagships) and flat back panels with individual circular cutouts for the rear-facing cameras and LED flash.

These renders suggest that the Smart View Wallet case will be available in black, white, and purple, while the Standing Grip case will be offered in Blue and Gray. The colored Silicone case will be available in black, lime, and blue.

Editor’s Note: It’s interesting to see that Galaxy Ultra models are the only ones that haven’t yet been imitated by mid-range Galaxy phones, whereas base and Plus flagship variants have. This may be Samsung’s attempt to push a portion of its customers to pricier and more unique-looking models, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra or the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
