The November 2022 security update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990B2XXS1DVK4 in Slovakia. In Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Caucasus countries, the Netherlands, the UK, and Ukraine, the update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990BXXS2DVK4. Remember, Samsung released two versions of the Galaxy S21 FE in Europe, one with model number SM-G990B and the other with model number SM-G990B2.

In Asian countries like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Vietnam, the latest Galaxy S21 FE update comes bearing firmware version G990EXXS3DVK6. In Canada, the device is getting the new update with firmware version G990WVLU4DVK5. In the US, the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is getting the new update with firmware version G990USQU4DVK5. In Canada and the US, the security patch is a part of the Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update.

The new update fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities.
