Evleaks has taken to Twitter just a week before Nothing is set to announce their new smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1). And he has shown off every single angle of the device, as well as both in black and white. So there’s really no secrets left for the design here.
Of course, we’ve seen the white one plenty of times already, but it’s nice to actually see the black one. Which looks pretty nice too. In these press renders, it looks more like a dark blue though. But that could also just be the fault of Photoshop.
Nothing is set to announce this phone on July 12. And while it’s been hyped quite a bit, there’s a chance it could live up to the hype.
The Nothing Phone (1) won’t be coming to the US
Nothing has already confirmed that the Phone (1) won’t be coming to the US, which is rather unfortunate. Since it’s the US media that’s been giving them a lot of their hype and attention. But not surprising, since the US is mostly made up of people buying their phones from carriers, and not unlocked. Which the Nothing Phone (1) will only be sold unlocked here.
From the specs that have leaked out, we know that this will be a solidly mid-range smartphone from Nothing. So we’re expecting it to be closer to the $600 or less range. Thankfully, it won’t be a thousands bucks like some other smartphones on the market. But since it’s not coming to the US, we may not know the actual US Dollar amount for this phone.
Hopefully, when the phone is announced next week, it can actually live up to the hype. We’ve seen plenty of phones in the past get lots of hype, only to fizzle out and never actually live up to it. Nothing has already shown us some camera samples from the phone, but as always, those were likely taken by professionals.
