How to check GST registration status online

The government has provided an online portal for every Indian citizen to make Goods and Services Tax (GST) filing simple and convenient. However, to use this service on the official GST website (gst.gov.in), you must register your business first.

GST registration and online application
GST registration is important for every business whose annual turnover exceeds Rs 40,00,000. However, in certain areas in the North-east, this threshold is Rs 10,00,000. The registration process can be done online by filling the online application. During the registration process, you will be provided with a 15-digit PAN-based unique number called GSTIN.

Once completed, it takes 15 days to register your application. Until then, you can visit the GST official portal and use your Application Reference Number (ARN) or GSTIN number to check the progress of your GST registration.
