Vocation Frustration quest guide

If you speak to the Vocation Guild trainer, he will tell you that while the Vocation Guild has the capability of teaching Warrior and Sorcerer vocations, a current weapon shortage is preventing them from doing so. However, if you can bring him a weapon for said vocation—that is, a Archistaff for Sorcerer or a Greatsword for Warrior. He gives you a tip that a gang of goblins to the west ambushed a trade shipment that should have had a Greatsword on it, which is exactly what you need.

If you look at your map, to the west of Vernsworth you should now have a quest location marked that indicates where you can find the Greatsword. Simply head west out of Vernsworth and follow the road until you reach the area indicated, which is near Trevor Mine. You will have to take out a group of Goblins but as long as you have some Pawns with you—and really, you always should—you will have no problem taking them out.

After taking out the Goblin’s head for the chest they were guarding. Inside you will find a Greatsword, which is exactly what you needed. Head back to Vernsworth and speak to the Vocation Guild trainer to turn in the Vocation Frustration quest. You will have to handover the Greatsword, but doing so unlocks the Warrior vocation! If you choose to learn the Warrior vocation, you will actually be given the Greatsword back as a starter weapon to use with the vocation. Time to smash some skulls!
