“I Auditioned For Thor, But Not Even To Be Thor”

Chris Pratt has impressively jumped from television to film in the past ten years, appearing in films like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Jurassic World,” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” He appears to have such big projects on hand, but even the journey was not that easy for him.

The ‘Zero Dark Thirty actor recently admitted that he struggled in the audition process for several films, including even Marvel productions, so things were never simple for him. He considered never going through the audition process for a Marvel movie.

Actor Chris Pratt stated during his visit on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ that he tried out for a number of films, including ‘Thor’ and other superhero pictures. But he was consistently turned down. He made the decision to stop trying out for Marvel films after receiving rejections.

I gave them all an audition,” he claimed. I had a difficult time with Marvel. “I tried out for ‘Thor,’ but not to play Thor; rather, to play one of the sidekick guys, and I didn’t get a callback.

He said, “I’m tired of Marvel.” He said, “I was at the point where I was never going to audition for Marvel again. “This is stupid, I’m never going to be in a Marvel movie,” I thought.

He was then asked by Kimmel to list the Marvel projects for which he was holding auditions. “All of them, I mean. I tried out for anything that came out where they wanted a person that even somewhat resembled me,” he stated.

The actor also revealed that he was being rejected for non-superhero film roles as well.

Meanwhile, Pratt headlines Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, which will conclude with its third installment all set to be released in theatres on May 5.
