Nicholas D. Miller — a musician, DJ, producer and songwriter known professionally as Illenium — spent $15 million last month to buy a 23,000-square-foot mansion from private equity executive Charlie Gallagher.
The eight-bedroom, 14-bath mansion on Cherry Hills Drive sits adjacent to the 10th green at Cherry Hills Country Club.
Chicago architect Gregory Maire designed the brick and stone mansion to resemble a 14th-century French country home. Constructed in 1993, the house, with a circular drive, features painted ceilings, plastered walls, eight fireplaces and 18 sets of French doors.
Gallagher and his wife, Diane, listed the property for $18.5 million in August.
Gallagher was inducted into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame in 2011 and has served on numerous boards locally, including those of the Denver Art Museum, Regis University and the Archdiocese of Denver’s Catholic Foundation.
Miller, meanwhile, has released five studio albums, including “Illenium” in April. He and his wife, Laura, closed on the mansion on Dec. 7.

They worked with Valerie’s sister, Jennifer Tate, principal architect of Tate + Burns in Essex, Connecticut, to design a space reminiscent of the sisters’ childhood home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Clausens listed the three-bedroom, four-bath penthouse with three underground garage spaces, electric vehicle-charging stations, and two large storage units for $8.5 million in November.
