Indian Cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav drives his Nissan 1-ton resto-modded pick up truck on Mumbai roads

After Mahendra Singh Dhoni, cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav chose to rebuild a Nissan 1-ton for himself. He took the delivery of the new vehicle earlier this year and this is the first time he was spotted driving the vehicle on the roads of Mumbai.

The video by CS12 Vlogs shows Surya Kumar Yadav, who is popularly known as SKY. He has named the vehicle ‘Hulk’ and much has to do with the vehicle’s massive size and the fluorescent green colour. Many people call it a Jonga but one should know that Jonga and 1-Ton are two different vehicles.

Surya Kumar Yadav’s Nissan 1-ton pickup truck boasts a striking neon green paint job and has undergone a complete restoration. The bodywork, glass panels, grille, and headlamp covers have all received attention. The vehicle’s rounded front and rear LED lights enhance its eye-catching appearance, while the sturdy off-road tires give it an even more imposing road presence.

The Indian Army preferred the Nissan 1-ton for its robust and durable construction, which made it an excellent choice for transporting personnel, serving as an ambulance, carrying guns, and patrolling. Although it was a popular choice in the 1960s, it began to be replaced by lighter Mahindra Jeeps in later years. The 1-Ton or Nissan 4W73 was equipped with a 3.9-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that produced up to 110 bhp of power and 264 Nm of torque, with a 3-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive as standard features.

Surya Kumar Yadav is not the only cricketer who owns a Nissan 1-ton. Former Indian Cricket Team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the first cricketer to acquire a Jonga for himself in his hometown.

Owns a Mercedes-Benz GLS

Surya Kumar Yadav also owns a Mercedes-Benz GLS with an AMG kit. The Mercedes Benz GLS is the largest and most luxurious SUV in the German luxury car brand’s line-up, boasting seating for seven passengers. Often referred to as the “S-Class of SUVs,” the GLS 400d variant is equipped with a 3-litre, V6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 326 Bhp of peak power and 700 Nm of peak torque.

Power is transferred to all four wheels of the SUV through Mercedes Benz’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The GLS 400d can accelerate from a standstill to 100 Kph in just 6.3 seconds, while its top speed is a remarkable 238 Km/h.

Upon entering, Suryakumar Yadav’s customized Mercedes-Benz GLS 400d greets you with an Espresso Brown-themed Artico man-made leather interior with black contrast stitching. The cabin’s pillar trims and headliner are finished in contrasting white, and the trim parts feature a variety of themes such as metallic silver, shiny chrome, and high-gloss anthracite lime wood.
