The leading budget carrier Indigo, which has been slammed by a lot of flyers due to hours of delays over the past few days, is now getting its system upgrade to provide a better flight experience,

During this time, the airline’s official website, along with another important services such as baggage drop, App. DigiYatra, will remain unavailable. The move has landed passengers in a chaotic situation as they are not able to get their future flight details.

IndiGo System Down

While sharing the news the company said, “Our systems are undergoing an upgrade to provide an improved customer experience. While we are ensuring uninterrupted flight operations, self-baggage drop and Digi Yatra will be unavailable, and no bookings/modifications/web check-in can be done as our website, mobile app and contact centre are impacted. We will be back soon. Stay tuned,” the airline said.

The airline has been hitting the headlines for the past few weeks for all the wrong reasons. From making passengers wait for hours inside the plane to not making take-offs on time due to bad weather conditions, Indigo received a lot of criticism from the flyers lately.

Viral Incident

Recently, an agitated passenger assaulted the pilot on board when he was making an apology for the delay due to dense fog. However, later, the passenger was immediately taken into custody, and handed over to the ground staff for slapping the pilot.

The video of the same also went viral on social media, where internet users slammed the offender for taking the violent route on board. While some came in support of pilot, some called him crazy for reacting to a situation that can not be controlled.
