Kim Kardashian Pays Tribute To Pete Davidson After His Final SNL Show

Pete Davidson has recently announced that he is leaving Saturday Night Live after eight years, and Kim Kardashian is trying to be a good girlfriend. The reality star took to her Instagram Stories to share a series of pictures of Pete on the US show as he made his final appearance this weekend. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian also shared an image of her pink nails, revealing crystals that spelt out the letter ‘P’ on her ring finger. Though Kim simply captioned the photo with a nail polish emoji, the gesture appears to be in honour of her beau.

While Kim is enjoying her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding in Italy, the comedian Pete remained in New York to perform a monologue as himself about his time on the show for the programme’s Weekend Update. In his finale episode of SNL, Pete addressed Kim’s ex Kanye West and joked, “millions of people only watching to see if I bring up Kanye.” While he didn’t mention Kim in his speech, he did reference his ex Ariana Grande with whom he got engaged in 2018.

Elsewhere, he joked about his race, saying people were confused about his ethnicity when he first joined the show eight years ago. It comes after Pete officially confirmed he was leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons on the sketch show. In a lengthy Instagram post shared by Pete’s friend Dave Sirus. Pete stated that the 47th season finale shows that evening would be his ‘last one’ as he thanked creator Lorne Michaels and the cast.

He also shared a video shared alongside the caption that featured Pete hugging comedian Jerrod Carmichael, after doing his ‘very first update and sketch,’ with Pete adding, ‘It’s crazy to think that today I’ll be doing my last one.’ Pete’s post was shared from his pal’s account after the comedian deleted his own Instagram following online harassment from girlfriend Kim’s ex-husband Kanye.

Davidson started out with an emotional message while noting that this video was taken 8 years ago. He then admitted that when he first joined SNL at age 20, he ‘had no idea’ what he was doing because he ‘wasn’t really a sketch performer’. Pete went on to praise his co-stars, noting, “I knew I could never keep up or go toe to toe with a Kenan Thompson or a Kate McKinnon so I was super scared at figuring out what I could possibly bring to or do for such a historic, respected show and platform.” Pete continued to reminisce about his beginning on the show.
