Lenovo launches new Legion 9i gaming laptops, powered by AI, top-end Intel CPU, NVIDIA GPU


Lenovo has launched one of India’s first AI-powered gaming laptop, which is powered by Intel’s top-end Core i9-13980HX processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The laptop comes in at Rs 4,49,990 in a Carbon Black variant

Lenovo has introduced the Legion 9i gaming laptop in India, featuring cutting-edge technology and innovative specifications. Marketed as the “gaming studio in your backpack,” the laptop is equipped with notable features, including a dedicated AI chip, integrated liquid cooling, and a durable forged carbon chip-patterned lid.

One of the standout features of the Legion 9i is the Legion Coldfront integrated liquid-cooling system. Co-engineered with Cooler Master, this system supports a maximum 230W TDP for the 16-inch laptop. The liquid cooling activates when the GPU reaches 84°C and runs over the GPU VRAM to manage heat during intensive gaming sessions.

Complementing the cooling system is an AI-tuned triple-fan air-cooling system with over 6,300 individual intake vents. The laptop’s weight is balanced by a forged carbon chip-patterned lid.

Powered by the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, the Legion 9i boasts high-performance gaming capabilities. It supports either 64GB 5600Mhz dual-channel DDR5 RAM or 32GB 6400Mhz DDR5 dual-channel RAM, with storage options of up to 2TB PCIe (Gen 4) SSD.

Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. In terms of I/O, the Legion 9i features two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C, two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader 3.0, an audio jack, and DC IN. Additionally, it comes with a full HD camera with dual microphones onboard.
