Lily Gladstone to speak at Marin screening of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

It was just a month ago that Lily Gladstone made Golden Globes history, becoming the first Indigenous person to win a Golden Globe for best actress for her role as Mollie Burkhart, the Osage woman at the center of “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

Based on the 2017 bestselling nonfiction book of the same name, Martin Scorsese’s true-crime epic reflects on the racism and gruesome murders of members of the Osage Nation during the early 1900s, spurred by oil and greed.

Gladstone, now nominated for best actress at next month’s Oscars, will take the stage for a conversation after a screening of the film at 6 p.m. Friday at the Smith Rafael Film Center at 1118 Fourth St. in San Rafael. Admission is free, but tickets are required.

As of now, tickets are available only to CAFILM members. General public tickets go live at 10 a.m. Thursday. Seating is limited to theater capacity; a ticket does not guarantee a seat. Seating will be first come, first served, except for year-round CAFILM pass holders and invited distributor and filmmaker guests.
