Mahindra is gearing up for a substantial update for the XUV300, and preceding its launch, the company has introduced attractive discounts on the existing stock of XUV300 and XUV400 electric SUVs.
Starting with the all-electric XUV400, Mahindra offered a flat cash discount of Rs 3.5 lakh in November 2023. For December 2023, Mahindra is providing benefits worth Rs 4.20 lakh on the XUV400 EL variant without ESC and Rs 3.20 lakh worth of benefits on the XUV400 EL variant with ESC. Additionally, the lower-spec XUV400 EC variant is available with discounts worth up to Rs 1.70 lakh. These discounts have significantly reduced the price of the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV, making it more affordable compared to its direct rival, the Tata Nexon EV.
Regarding the petrol and diesel versions of the XUV300, Mahindra is offering different benefits for different variants. The benefits for the Mahindra XUV300 diesel are Rs 1.72 lakh on the W8 and W8(O) variants, Rs 1.40 lakh on the W6 variant, and Rs 59,000 on the W4 variant. The XUV300 TurboSport version with the 130 PS turbo-petrol engine also has benefits worth Rs 57,000 for the W4, Rs 1 lakh for the W6, and Rs 1.50 lakh for the W8 variants. The regular XUV300 turbo-petrol variants can also be availed with benefits ranging between Rs 45,000 and Rs 1.63 lakh.
The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV is available in two variants – EC and EL. The EC features a 34.5kWh battery pack claiming 375 km of range and a 3.2kW charger, while the higher-spec EL variant has a 39.5kWh battery pack claiming 456 km of range and a 7.2kW charger. Both variants of the Mahindra XUV400 are powered by a front-mounted 150 PS electric motor.
On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV300 comes with three engine options – a 1.2-litre 110 PS turbocharged petrol, a 1.5-litre 118 PS diesel engine, and a 1.2-litre 130 PS turbocharged petrol. All these engine options are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with a 6-speed AMT offered as an option in the 110 PS petrol and 118 PS diesel variants.
