A new report suggests that Verizon customers may soon be able to snag a subscription combining the ad-tier Max and Netflix options for just $10. That’s a significant discount; as separate subscriptions, the ad-tier costs for those services run $9.99 per month and $6.99 per month, respectively.

This comes from the Wall Street Journal, which cites “people familiar with the situation” and notes the move marks just “the latest sign of the competitive pressures under which streaming companies operate, given the ease with which customers can hop on and off between services when they are done watching a specific show.” The hope from distribution companies like Verizon and Comcast—as well as streaming services like Netflix and Max—is that bundling subscriptions may help cut down on customer churn.

The WSJ points out that while Verizon has bundled Netflix with other services before, this would be the first time it’s specifically offered Netflix’s cheaper ad tier, which debuted in November of last year. The paper’s sources said that the bundle will be officially announced within weeks, and will be made available to Verizon’s “myPlan” wireless customers.
