Payday 3 Will Add Solo Mode And Lots More In A Series Of Patches

Payday 3 developer Starbreeze has released the first of a series of patches collectively called Operation Medic Bag meant to rehab the troubled game. Today’s patch adds fixes and features such as an unready button, DirectX12 support, a new hardcore cook-off challenge, and more.

According to the developer’s blog post, future updates under the Operation Medic Bag initiative will include things like a solo mode, progression changes, a UI revamp, and other “new content.”

Players will soon have the option to perform heists by themselves. The upcoming mode won’t involve them connecting to any server, but before it’s made, Starbreeze will need to implement two significant changes. The first one will require an online connection that still connects to its servers to ensure progression is counted. The second change aims to improve solo mode and ensure players can play without an internet connection.

Updates will soon become more common, Starbreeze says, as Operation Medic Bag continues. The team hopes to continue to improve Payday 3 according to community feedback. Click here to read the official patch notes.

As of late, Payday 3 has been having a more challenging time than the studio anticipated. Recently, Starbreeze revealed that the sales and active player count are significantly lower than it hoped for.
