Range Rover-inspired Tata Harrier R Edition is a head turner [Video]

Tata launched Harrier SUV in the market back in 2019. It quickly became popular among buyers for its looks and is still one of the most popular SUV in the segment. An year after the launch, Tata updated Harrier with more features and also an automatic transmission was offered which was initially missing. Several accessories and modification options are available for Tata Harrier and we have seen some of the tastefully modified examples online. Many of them have been featured on our website as well. Here we have one such modified Tata Harrier that is inspired from Range Rover luxury SUV.

The video has been uploaded by AutoTrend TV on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about the modification that has been done to this Tata Harrier. The modification work on this Tata Harrier has been carried out by SRT Motors which is Tata Motors authorised dealership in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. A variety of other modification options are also offered SRT Motors at dealership level.

The main attraction on this Tata Harrier is the paint job. It gets a dual-tone paint job. The Harrier get a Red shade which is inspired from Range Rover SUVs. The colour definitely looks interesting on the car. The black cladding on the lower part of the bumper and around the car has also been painted in Red. The pillars and the roof has been finished in black. The whole car gets a premium look after the paint job. The SUV seen here is the 140 Ps version which did not come with features like panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable seats and auto-dimming IRVMs and many more features.

The headlamps on this Harrier have been smoked and a gloss black Harrier moniker has been placed on the bonnet of the SUV. Coming to the side profile, the main attraction are the alloy wheels. The stock alloy wheels have been replaced with an aftermarket unit from Momo which is an Italian brand. Overall look of the SUV is brilliant and it will definitely turn some heads whenever it is on the road. Vlogger mentions it in the video that the approximate cost of this modification is around 2 lakh. This  is an old video so we guess that the prices would have either gone up or they would have started offering more varieties.

When it comes to the engine, no changes have been done to this SUV. As mentioned above, this is not the updated model. It is however powered by the same 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 140 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. This version was only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The updated version which was launched in 2020 used the same engine but it generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with both 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Tata Harrier competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and Kia Seltos in the segment. Tata also introduced Kaziranga edition of Harrier which is priced at Rs 20.56 lakh, ex-showroom.
