Samsung Galaxy A05s starts getting Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update

Samsung has finally released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy A05s. It is among the last eligible Galaxy smartphones to get the Android 14 update. The company’s high-end smartphones started getting the Android 14 update in October 2023, and then the update expanded to mid-range and affordable devices. The only remaining Galaxy devices to get the update are entry-level models.

Galaxy A05s gets Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in Asia

The Android 14 update for the Galaxy A05s comes with firmware version A057FXXU2BXA8, which is currently available in Indonesia and Vietnam. More countries could join the list soon. Since this is a significant software update, we expect the download size of this update to be over 1.5GB, so it would be wiser to use a Wi-Fi network to download the update. Moreover, back up your data, such as call logs, documents, messages, images, and videos. If you have a Galaxy A05s and live in Indonesia or Vietnam, you can now check for the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.

If you don’t want to wait for the OTA update to hit your device, you can download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. You would need a computer running a Windows operating system and the Odin tool for the manual firmware flashing process. The update also includes the January 2024 security patch that fixes around 65 security flaws.
