Aerodynamics plays an important role when it comes to the driving range and Ace EV looks quite boxy because that is the most versatile shape that can be used to transport stuff from one place to another. So, Tata Motors is using an aero-deflector to reduce drag and increase the driving range. The infotainment system also comes with Bluetooth support, there is a tyre pressure monitoring system and even a rear parking camera which can make it easier to park the Ace EV.

The Ace EV can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 105 minutes using the fast-charging network of Tata Motors. If you are using home charging then in 6 to 7 hours, you should be able to charge from 20 percent to 100 percent. It would be a regular 15 A socket charger which is a good thing.

Tata Motors is not using Ziptron technology for the Ace EV. Instead, it is using EVOGEN powertrain and lithium-ion iron phosphate (LEP) battery pack. It can produce a max power output of 36 bhp and a peak torque output of 130 Nm. The claimed driving range of the Ace EV is 154 km.

The Ace EV weighs 1,840 kgs and has a payload capacity of 600 kgs. It measures 3,800 mm in length, has a wheelbase of 2,100 mm and ground clearance is also decent at 160 mm. The turning radius is 4.3 metres and the cargo loading space of 208 ft³.

The regular Ace is already a hit in the commercial segment for the past 17 years. This is mostly because it is affordable and can haul a lot of stuff. Moreover, the compact dimensions make it perfect for last-mile B2B and B2C deliveries.

Most of the e-commerce companies and delivery companies are using Ace for their deliveries. Tata Motors has already booked an order of 39,000 Ace Ev’s for leading e-commerce companies. For instance, Amazon, BigBasket, City Link, DOT, Flipkart, LetsTransport, MoEVing and Yelo EV will be getting their Ace EVs soon.
