Tata Nexon EV accounts for 15 percent of Tata Nexon sales

The EV of choice for 50,000-odd buyers, the Tata Nexon electric accounts for 15 percent of total Nexon sales. This is a sizeable chunk given that the Tata Nexon is the fifth highest-selling car in India as of May 2023. The Tata Nexon EV has managed to cross the 50,000- units mark in just four years since it was launched. The vehicle is available for sale across 500 cities in India.

Tata Nexon EV gets an entry-level model which was recently named the Tata Nexon EV Prime. This gets a 30.2kWh battery which is good for an ARAI-certified range of 312km. The Tata Nexon EV MAX, which is the long-range version of the EV SUV, gets a larger 40.5kWh battery with a range of 453km. According to data provided by the manufacturer, the Tata Nexon EV users take the EV on road trips that span 1,500km at a stretch. The vehicle is also reportedly being used for intercity and outstation trips which range from 100km to 400km. 

The Tata Nexon EV is also offered in the popular Dark Edition iteration which gets a Cosmo Dark paint shade and Charcoal Black wheels. The Tata Nexon EV MAX has also been recently updated with a new 10.25-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen unit which gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This system is also rumoured to soon be offered on Prime models as well. 

The Tata Nexon EV starts at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 19.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
