Tata Tiago electric hatchback and Tigor electric sedan EVs selling at Rs. 1.1 lakh discounts

Tata Motors is ushering in the year-end with substantial discounts on its electric vehicle (EV) lineup, extending lucrative offers to customers considering the Tiago EV hatchback and Tigor EV compact sedan. The discounts, applicable until December 31 or while stocks last, add to the festive cheer for potential EV buyers.

The Tigor EV compact sedan is eligible for a generous discount of up to Rs 1.10 lakh. This includes a flat cash discount of Rs 50,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 on all variants. Additionally, corporate benefits of up to Rs 10,000 are available, bringing the total savings to Rs 1.10 lakh. The Tigor EV’s current price range is between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh.

Equipped with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Tigor EV boasts an ARAI-claimed range of 315km. Its permanent magnet synchronous electric motor produces 75 Bhp and 170 Nm, ensuring a smooth and efficient electric driving experience. Real world range of both the Tigor and Tiago EVs stands at about 200-220 kilometers.

On the Tiago EV front, buyers can enjoy savings of up to Rs 77,000. Although there’s no cash discount, the Tiago EV offers an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 on select variants. Moreover, buyers can benefit from a Green Bonus of up to Rs 55,000, which serves as an incentive for choosing an EV. Corporate discounts of up to Rs 7,000 are also available. The Tiago EV is priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 12.04 lakh.

The Tiago EV comes in two variants – Medium Range and Long Range. The former features a 19.2kWh battery, providing a range of 250km on the MIDC cycle. It is equipped with a front axle-mounted electric motor generating 61 Bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Long Range variant boasts a 24kWh battery, extending the range to 315km on the MIDC cycle, with an output of 74 Bhp and 114 Nm.

These year-end discounts from Tata Motors enhance the appeal of its EV offerings, making them more accessible and attractive for Indian customers looking to embrace electric mobility. It’s a strategic move to encourage the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles and contribute to the growth of the EV market in the country. The Tiago and Tigor EVs are the most affordable electric cars sold in India. While the Tiago EV has found great acceptance among family car buyers, the Tigor EV dominates the cab market. Both the Indian government and various private cab aggregators such as Uber and BluSmart have placed orders for thousands of Tigor EV compact sedans.
