The Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster sold at the auction was originally bought by Donald Trump back in 1997. He opted for the Blu Le Main paint job, a shade not officially offered by the manufacturer at the time.
It was a custom shade, and upon request, Lamborghini painted the car in this unique color, making this Lamborghini even more special. Another customization on this Diablo is the plaque on the door of the car.
Trump added a custom-made plaque that said “Donald Trump 1997 Diablo.” The Diablo was one of the first supercars offered by the Italian car manufacturer. The car was launched after the popular model Countach. Countach was the first model that Lamborghini had produced after the brand came under the Volkswagen group. Donald Trump sold his Diablo in 2002, and in 2016, the same car was listed on eBay for sale. The person selling the car on eBay had bought it from its previous owner back in 2005.
