The Pretenders have postponed their upcoming headline UK tour, originally scheduled for February and March.
The tour will now take place in October 2024, beginning on 11th October at Portsmouth’s Guildhall before closing at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on 28th October. The tour will take in thirteen performances across the country, including four new dates at Portsmouth’s Guildhall (11th October), Hull’s Connexin Live (19th October), a third night at London’s Palladium (24th October), and a show at Ipswich’s Regent Theatre (26th October).
In a message to fans shared via The Pretenders’ social media channels, Chrissie Hynde said:
Hi All!
We’re champing at the bit to get back on the road, but looks like we’re gonna have to hold tight for a while. I have a knee injury which will have to be dealt with first. I was hoping I could limp through the next 6 weeks, but it’s just getting worse.
(I’ll spare you the gory details…)
We will be rescheduling the postponed shows to later in the year.
So sorry for the inconvenience but look forward to seeing you then.
