Vivo is to expand its product portfolio in the Chinese market. The company has announced the launch dates of the Vivo S17 and Vivo S17 Pro models. The series succeeds the Vivo S16 series launched in China in December 2022. Recently, Vivo introduced the Vivo S17e in its home market. The Chinese smartphone maker has scheduled the launch date of the Vivo S17 series in China on May 31.
According to a report from tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo S17 series is likely to feature some notable specifications. The Vivo S17 could be powered by the Snapdragon 782 processor, while the Dimensity 8200 processor is said to power the Vivo S17 Pro. Earlier, it was also reported that both smartphones would feature a 50MP front camera.
Vivo S17, Vivo S17 Pro: Expected features and specifications
Vivo S17, Vivo S17 Pro are speculated to arrive with similar displays, featuring a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with curved edges and 120Hz refresh rate. Both smartphones are expected to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of RAM and storage, the Vivo S17 could come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage while the Vivo S17 Pro might feature 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
Meanwhile, Vivo S17 is likely to feature a 64MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology. Vivo S17 Pro — on the other hand — could house a 50MP main camera. As mentioned earlier, for selfies and video calls, the devices are expected to feature a 50MP camera.
Vivo S17 is said to be backed by a 4500mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Vivo S17 Pro could feature a 4600mAh battery with an 80W fast charging support.
