Vivo X90s launched in China: Specifications, price, and more


Vivo has announced the X90s in its home market of China. The X90s is a slightly tweaked version of the X90 that was launched in April in India. While it still shares most of the specs with its predecessor, the X90s upgrades to the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ from the Dimensity 9200 chipset inside the Vivo X90.

Vivo X90s features a 6.78-inch BOE Q9 OLED display with a 2800×1260 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1300 nits brightness. The display supports HDR10+, covers 115% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and has support for 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Further, the X90s is also IP64 dust and splash resistance certified.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200+ chipset powers the X90s. The chipset is built on the 4nm process and is clocked at up to 3.35GHz. The chipset features Immortalis-G715 GPU. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The X90S runs OriginOS 3.0 on top of Android 13 out-of-the-box. The smartphone boasts a 4,810mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

The X90s supports audio over USB-C and has a pair of stereo speakers.

At the rear is a triple-camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with f/1.75 aperture, VCS bionic spectrum, and OIS. The other two cameras are a 12MP 50mm 2x portrait camera with autofocus and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The cameras come with Zeiss T* coating and are aided by Vivo’s in-house V2 co-processor. There is a 32MP camera housed inside the centred punch-hole cutout on the front.

Connectivity options on Vivo X90s includes 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1.

The Vivo X90s is available in three colours – Black, White, and Green, having a glass finish. There is also a Red coloured variant which has a leather finish.

The Vivo X90s comes in three storage options: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. The prices are 3,999 yuan (around Rs 45,00), 4299 yuan (around Rs 48,000), and 4699 yuan (around Rs 53,000) respectively, and will be available for sale in China from June 30.
