Vivo Y16 India launch price
91mobiles has exclusively learnt that the Chinese phone maker Vivo will launch the Vivo Y16 in India this week. The company will price the device at Rs 12,499 at launch and will aim to cater to the lower end of the midrange segment of smartphones in India. The Vivo Y02 smartphone will follow this launch and will float sometime in October.
Vivo has timed the launch of the Vivo Y16 and other Y series products, such as the Vivo Y35 and the Vivo Y22, in correspondence to the Indian festive season.
Vivo Y16 specifications (expected)
The Vivo Y16 will cater to the audience looking out for a midrange device and will get a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a water drop notch that would host the front camera. Camera duties upfront will be taken care of by a 5MP front camera. At the back, there will be a 13MP main camera with a 2MP secondary lens and an LED flash.
Under the hood, there will be a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The Y16 will also get extended RAM support, enabling an extra 1GB of RAM via the onboard internal storage system. Storage will further be expandable up to 1TB via an SD Card. The Vivo Y16 will run on Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12.
The Vivo Y16 will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery pack and will charge via a Type C connector.
