WhatsApp for macOS is receiving a new tint colour with the latest update

WhatsApp is currently testing a lot of new features on its platform in beta. The company has recently started testing lock chats, a new bottom ribbon on Android, the option to automatically silence unknown callers and more. WABetaInfo has now reported that the company has made some new changes to the native WhatsApp app for macOS. As a part of the recent changes, the company has made the tint colour Green on the app.

WhatsApp for macOS is in beta and the new Green tint is now available to all users running the latest version of the WhatsApp app on macOS.

WABetaInfo has also posted some screenshots showcasing the new tint colour. The screenshot shows that Green is now the primary colour of the app and it makes sense as Green is WhatsApp’s signature colour. In fact, the buttons and interface elements are also in Green on the latest version of WhatsApp for macOS.

The new native WhatsApp app for macOS is built using Catalyst and relies on iOS code. WABetaInfo has mentioned that there have been several changes made to the iOS code to improve its functionality on macOS and offer a better user experience.

The latest WhatsApp app for macOS is available for all users. The updated WhatsApp app for macOS can be downloaded via TestFlight app as well as WhatsApp’s official website because the feature is available in the stable release as well.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has also started expanding the Lock chat feature to more beta testers on Android. The feature is now available to more WhatsApp beta users across the globe. For those unaware, the feature allows users to lock individual chats instead of the entire app. Also, as a part of the feature, WhatsApp has also added a dedicated Locked Chat section that keeps track of all the chats that are currently locked and requires authentication to access.
