zoho: Zoho’s profit rises 43% to over Rs 2,700 crore in FY22


Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) unicorn Zoho reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,700 crore in FY22, up nearly 43% year-on-year on the back of a rise in revenue from its enterprise IT management software business.

Zoho’s revenue from operations rose 28.3% to Rs 6,711 crore in FY22 from Rs 5,230 crore a year ago, according to news website Entrackr, citing the company’s filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

The company’s total expenses went up by 18% to Rs 3,572 crore with employee benefit expenses amounting to around 51% of the total expenses.

The company’s financial income surged 34% to Rs 288 crore in FY22, taking the overall income to nearly Rs 7,000 crore, the report said.

Revenue from enterprise IT management software grew marginally by 4.1% to Rs 3,158 crore in FY22 from Rs 3,033 crore in FY21.

North America remains the largest market for Zoho, generating 47.7% of total collection i.e Rs 3,198 crore followed by Europe, which accounted for 22.4% of the total sale.

Income from software updates and maintenance and support licence also contributed Rs 20 crore to operating revenue during FY22.The Chennai-headquartered company recently crossed $1 billion in annual worldwide revenue, however, cofounder and chief executive officer Sridhar Vembu said it expects growth to slow down in 2022.

“Our diversified product portfolio and the fact that we save money for customers has helped us so far. We hope to continue to serve our customers by bringing the highest quality offerings at very affordable prices,” Vembu said.
