Amidst the festive fervor of Holi, Indian Railways has rolled out 540 additional train services to accommodate the surge in passenger demand.

On the occasion of Holi, Delhi Metro services are slated to commence from 2:30 PM onwards on March 25, 2024.

This announcement was made by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on their official Twitter handle.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) shared, “On Holi, March 25, 2024 (Monday), Metro services won’t be available until 2:30 PM across all Lines, including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line.”

The DMRC assured that services would resume sharp at 2:30 PM from terminal stations on all lines and would operate normally thereafter.

Usually, on regular days, the metro services begin around 5:00 AM and wrap up around 11:00 PM, varying slightly depending on the specific metro line and the day of the week.

In another development, the ITO Metro station will remain closed from 8 am to 6 pm on March 22, 2024, due to the AAP’s protest, as advised by the Delhi Police.

Delhi Metro, the largest and busiest rapid transit system in India, connects the nation’s capital region with its satellite cities, facilitating millions of commuters daily.

In other travel news, Indian Railways is gearing up for the festival rush during Holi by introducing 540 extra train services. These trains will cater to various destinations across the country, ensuring smooth connectivity.

Routes like Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, and New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra are among those strategically planned to accommodate travelers.
