One important thing to note is that you’ll want to do this before March 31st, 2023. That’s the date that Twitter will dump all of its broadcasts. Also, if you were an avid Periscope user, then you’ll want to do this sooner rather than later. The video data isn’t openly accessible.
First, you’ll want to go to the Periscope Help Center. There, it will tell you about the service being discontinued and where you can live stream on Twitter now. Scroll down to the section titled “Can I download an archive of my Periscope broadcasts and data?”. You’ll see a link to the Periscope account page. There’ll be several popups letting you know that the service is no longer active.
After you dodge the popups, you’ll see the option to log in. Log in to your account, and you’ll see a pretty barebones page. Here, you’ll see a list of your broadcasts. The names will look like a jumble of random numbers and letters, but they’ll be your past streams.
Requesting your videos
On the screen, you’ll see three steps. Under the first step, you’ll see a Send Data Request button. When you click on it, you’ll send the request to Twitter to retrieve your data. This is where things will start to take a while. Depending on how much data the company has to retrieve, the process could take several hours.
You can keep up with the process as it goes on. If you look back at the list of your broadcasts, you’ll see the words “Pending”. So, if you check back, you’ll have a good idea of the progress.
The process will take quite some time (even downloading two shorter broadcasts takes a bit of time). Fortunately, you don’t need to keep the page pulled to continue the process. You’re able to close the page and walk away. When you want to check on the status, you can simply reopen the page.

Step 2 will be the company retrieving the videos. Step 3 is where you actually download them. After your videos are ready, you’ll be taken to your account dashboard. There, you’ll see the link for you to download your videos.
Just know that, if you have a lot of long broadcasts on your account, the download will be rather large. Be sure that your device has a good amount of storage to spare.
If at any point you want to delete any broadcasts, you can do so before they’re retrieved. If you look back at the list of your broadcasts, you’ll see a Delete button right next to the name.
The only thing is that there’s no way of knowing which broadcast you’re deleting. The names aren’t descriptive and there’s no thumbnail giving you a visual. You run the risk of deleting a broadcast that’s near and dear to you. The best bet is to wait the extra time, download the broadcasts, and sift through them on your device.

First, you’ll want to press the Compose Tweet button. If you’re on an iPhone, then you’ll see the text field fill the top half of the screen with a carousel of your media right below it. At the front end of the carousel, you’ll see the camera icon.
If you’re on Android, you’ll want to press the Photos button on the bottom right menu that pops up. There, you’ll see a grid of your media. The camera option will be the first square in the grid.
