Hyundai Venue, Grand i10 NIOS, Aura, Creta and other scars to get upgraded safety as standard
Hyundai India has announced that it will now offer 3-point seatbelts and safety reminders for seatbelts on all seats as standard across all the car models. The new update will ensure that passengers sitting in the car put on their seatbelts after constant reminders. The announcement comes just before the launch of the new Exter.
With the update, all the Hyundai cars will offer three-point seatbelts as standard including for the passengers in the rear middle seats. The update is applicable to all their cars including the starting of the line-up starting from the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Aura, i20, Venue, Creta, Alcazar, Verna, Ioniq5, Kona and Tucson.

Standard airbags
Hyundai has also announced that all its models will now offer more airbags as standard. Models like the Venue, Grand i10 NIOS, i20 and Aura will get four airbags as standard. Whereas, the Creta, Alcazar, Ioniq5, Verna, Tucson and Kona will get 6 airbags as standard.
The cars will also come with electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM) and hill assist control (HAC) as standard features on the Venue and all the models positioned above it. It includes the N-Line variant of the i20, Creta, Alcazar, Ioniq5, Verna, Tucson and Kona. The standard features will help Hyundai cars to maintain stability, prevent skidding and limit rolling back on the uphills.
Commenting on the same, Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India said,

At Hyundai, we are committed to consistently elevate the safety standards of our product line-up and thus, in-sync with Indian Government’s direction, we have upgraded our full range model line-up with 3-point seatbelt and seatbelt reminder for all seats as standard offering. We firmly believe that Safety feature standardization will offer superior protection for our customers.”
Hyundai to soon launch Exter
According to teasers released by Hyundai, the new Hyundai Exter compact SUV is set to be the most capable vehicle in its segment, boasting advanced terrain modes and traction-based features that will allow it to navigate a variety of terrains with ease. Built on the K1 small car platform, which is also used for other Hyundai models like the Grand i10 Nios and Aura, the Exter will have a distinctive design language.
While similar in size to the Korea-only Hyundai Casper, the Exter will have a boxy, upright stance that is reminiscent of the Venue, but with a unique design. It’s possible that the Exter’s design will incorporate Hyundai’s “sensuous sportiness” design philosophy.
The Exter is expected to be powered by a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will come as standard, with the option of a 5-speed AMT. The top-end trims of the Exter may also come equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which is already available in the Venue.
