“I’m dropping a mixed media project called ‘Hotter Than Hell.’ There’s photographs, visual artist collabs, videos, merch & all kinds of aesthetically pleasing, hot as hell things happening this year,” the Fancy singer announced in a Twitter post.

“Admittedly, I never knew OnlyFans was a place where I could be creative, so I didn’t expect to be collaborating with them on my biggest project to date,” Azalea said in a statement to Variety.

“Once I looked beyond the surface level chatter about what it means to have an OnlyFans, I realized it was the perfect platform to launch a multimedia concept on.

“I feel excited about not having to worry about the overwhelming and creatively limiting censorship artists have to navigate when sharing work on other digital platforms. The project is bold and fun — so is this collaboration — I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.”

According to the announcement, the project is inspired by “the supermodels of the ’90s, Pamela Anderson, the conception of the centrefold model, sexuality and its differing viewpoints between men and women, and Madonna’s Sex book.”

Azalea joins other celebrities with OnlyFans pages, including Cardi B, Blac Chyna, Bhad Bhabie, Denise Richards and her daughter Sami Sheen, and Carmen Electra. With its mix of X-rated content and fan-only access, the service racked up $4.8 billion in revenue in 2021.

Page Six reported that after Bella Thorne joined the service in 2020 the former Disney star “broke” the platform, earning $1 million in just 24 hours with her racy content.

But it’s unclear how OnlyFans might help Azalea’s career. After her 2014 debut The New Classic went platinum, her sophomore effort In My Defense flopped in 2019.

“I think sometimes I feel defeated because I look at the chart and see how much streaming impacts it, and think, ‘How can I win when I’m up against THAT?’” she tweeted at the time. “But I also feel like: ‘OK, and?’ There are two options. Quit. Or shut up and just keep fighting. So I’ll keep on fighting!”

Her third LP, 2021’s EDM-heavy The End of an Era, was also a commercial disappointment, failing to chart on the Billboard 200.

“OnlyFans is a natural platform for B-list celebrities,” Monica Koyama, an associate communications professor at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, told Forbes this month.

Azalea previously claimed she wouldn’t ever go down the OnlyFans road.

“I think OnlyFans can be really empowering for people, But I WILL NEVER, EVVVER join.” she tweeted in 2021. “I don’t want to make that type of content.”
