Importing exotic cars to India have now become a common thing. There are many enthusiasts who are ready to spend a sum to bring their dream vehicle to India and drive it here for some time. These vehicles are usually here in the country for 6-12 months as they are here temporarily. However, there are many enthusiasts who import their vehicles to India and register it too. People have imported trucks like GMC Denali in the past. Here we have a video that shows India’s first Jeep Gladiator 6×6 in India.

The video has been uploaded by CS 12 VLOGS on their YouTube channel. In this video, the spotter sees a very different looking pick-up in the roads of Mumbai. As the SUV comes near, we get a clear idea about the vehicle. It is a heavily customised Jeep Gladiator pick-up. Although Jeep is officially selling its SUVs in India, they do not offer this model here. The Gladiator is actually a dual-cab pick-up version of the Wrangler SUV. It is very popular in American market where people love pick-up trucks.

What makes this Jeep Gladiator different is the customisation that it comes with. It is a proper 6×6 pick-up truck. Jeep offers this as a 4×4 SUV in every market. The 6×6 job is definitely an aftermarket job. There are many workshops outside India, that specialise in such modifications. These are special puprose vehicles and they are extremely expensive to build as well. We have seen similar type of modification in Mahindra Thar and Bolero in India but, they were never proper 6×6 SUVs or pick ups. This is a proper 6×6 truck and has massive road presence.

In this video, the Gladiator 6×6 is seen on the roads of Mumbai and especially with all the modifications it looks entirely different. We feel this is an import and not another car that came to India via Carnet because, it does not have any registration plate. The front-end of the pick-up has been heavily modified. The angry front grille with aftermarket headlamps and LED DRLs can be seen. The front bumper has been completely replaced with an off-road spec unit. There are couple of LED auxiliary lamps and an electric winch and shackles at the front.

Looking at the video, it feels like the owner has also upgraded the suspension set up on this truck. The bonnet has also been customised and similarly the fenders have also modified. The whole pick-up has been finished in matte grey or gets a Line-X coating. There are roof mounted LED bar which would be helpful during off-road sessions. The stock wheels have been replaced with aftermarket wheels and off-road tyres. The rear wheels arch has been completely redesigned to accommodate the third set of wheels. There is no spare wheel mounted on the tail gate and the loading bay at the back is all open. Overall, the truck looks extremely butch and different. Details of the person who imported this truck are currently not available.
