0 48

The WWE feud between John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was one of the most hyped feuds in WWE history. The two of the most prominent names who made their careers from wrestling to Hollywood movies. However, as they are both now in the Fast & Furious franchise, they have not shared the screen space yet. Recently, John Cena revealed that he nearly ruined his friendship with Dwayne Johnson.

The former WWE wrestler-turned-actor spoke candidly about his 2012–2013 fight with The Rock during his appearance on the Happy Sad Confused program.

To hype their main event match at Wrestlemania XXVIII, Cena admitted that he had attacked Johnson’s persona. Nevertheless, he considered his strategy “selfish and shortsighted.”.

He said that his view was, “If you love something, be there every day, John said of Dwayne Large abandoning the WWE for his acting career. He called himself a hypocrite, as he still loves WWE and can’t go all the time, and I just didn’t see that. I was so selfish.”

The Fast X actor addressed that rather than bringing their turmoil out in public, he should have spoken quietly with Johnson about his concerns.

As we can see, their feud is finally over, and their fans would love to see them working together in the future in Fast and Furious.

When Dwayne made the decision to leave WWE in 2004 to pursue a career in Hollywood, he was at the height of his wrestling career. His acting record now includes successful additions to Jumanji, Hobbs and Shaw, Central Intelligence, Baywatch, Skyscraper, and Hercules. Similar to Johnson, Cena made the decision to leave the world of professional wrestling in order to pursue his Hollywood goals. Since then, he has landed parts in films including Fast and Furious 9, Trainwreck, Blockers, and Bumblebee.
