0 73

Weeks after unleashing his eighth studio album Drill Music in Zion, Lupe Fiasco returns with the official video for “Autoboto” featuring Chi Town artist Nayirah. The visual, which marks the first for Lupe’s new project, shows him cruising the streets of his hometown of Chicago while comparing himself to a sports car.

“I can twist and I contort, I just feel like I’m a Porsche,” he raps in the chorus. “I’m Carrera, -era, -era, -era/I defend myself in court, this is sport, I get signals from the source.”

The video concludes with Lupe standing on a skyscraper rooftop before he gets beamed up into the air. We then cut to Nayirah, who delivers the outro in front of the Chicago skyline.

Drill Music in Zion arrived back in June, nearly four years after Lupe shared his Drogas Wave album. His latest effort was co-produced by Soundtrakk, who worked with Lupe on two of his biggest hits: 2006’s “Kick, Push” and 2007’s “Superstar.”

“Your whole life you’re physically growing, and as an artist, I feel like I’m taller now,” Lupe said about his decade-plus evolution. “Not that I’m at a higher place of morality, it’s that my vantage point and perspective is higher. I can see further.”
