In the world of billionaires, Mark Zuckerberg is a significant figure who co-founded Meta Platforms, one of the world’s largest social media platforms.

The tech-savvy billionaire’s public persona and private life present a fascinating contrast. His casual attire and focus on technology might restrain the immense wealth he enjoys. He leads a life of luxury and multi-million-dollar purchases that make every person’s jaw drop.

Recently, speculations have swirled around Mark Zuckerberg’s potential purchase of a 118-metre megayacht. As per Hindustan Times, Mark Zuckerberg might be the new owner of Megayacht, Launchpad, presently docked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The speculation fueled after reports surfaced that Zuckerberg had visited Feadship’s shipyard in the Netherlands and possibly purchased a megayacht akin to Jeff Bezos’ extravagant vessel. The 118-metre-long yacht, known as ‘Launchpad,’ recently made its maiden voyage from Gibraltar to St. Maarten. The said yacht is said to be nine metres shorter than Jeff Bezos’ renowned superyacht, Koru.

However, Business Insider reported that the details about the transaction could not be confirmed, as yacht world insiders have remained tight-lipped about revealing any information. Despite earlier reports about Mark Zuckerberg owning the superyacht Ulysses being debunked, the buzz around Launchpad persists.

As per a report by Business Insider, the ship’s builder, Feadship, adhered to its standard policy to never divulge any information regarding yacht ownership, costs, or delivery details. This policy applies regardless of the yacht’s size or historical significance, emphasising the company’s commitment to discretion.

“Whether it is an 18-metre Feadship from the 1960s or a 118-metre Feadship from the 21st century, we do not share private information,” the ship’s builder, Feadship, further added.

Earlier, it was reported that the tech behemothvisited Feadship’s shipyard in the Netherlands. Yachting bloggers and enthusiasts like eSysman Superyachts and Auto Evolution speculated that he officially bought the boat in March last year, originally built for a sanctioned Russian businessman, at a $300 million price tag.

Public marine tracking also revealed that the yacht bears the flag of the Marshall Islands, a US territory popular among American buyers. This revelation fueled rumours about Mark Zuckerberg’s ownership of the megayacht.

If the reports of Mark Zuckerberg’s purchase are accurate, he would join the prestigious group ofsuperyacht-owning tech billionaires. This exclusive circle includes Jeff Bezos, Google cofounder Sergey Brin, Oracle cofounder Larry Ellison, and Larry Page, who boast impressive superyachts as part of their opulent lifestyles.
