Nokia is preparing to launch a new rugged smartphone soon, and its design just surfaced. This phone is referred to as the Nokia Sentry 5G, though once it arrives to the market, it’ll likely be called the Nokia XR30.

Why the Nokia XR30? Well, the Nokia XR20 launched in 2021, and this is basically its successor. So, it makes all the sense in the world, unless Nokia plans to revamp the whole brand.
Having said that, folks over at WinFuture shared a bunch of images of the device, in both black and green colors. Those are the only two colors the phone will be available in, it seems.
Now, first and foremost, this device will support 5G. That is not something many rugged phones offer, at least not many mainstream ones. The Nokia Sentry 5G will have rather noticeable bezels, as you can see. That’s not surprising considering this is a rugged device. Its bottom bezel will be especially thick.
A display camera hole is included at the top of the display, and it’s centered. There are physical buttons included on both the left and right sides. Two cameras sit on the back of the device, along with a Nokia logo and an LED flash.
The phone is expected to utilize a 64-megapixel main camera, 33W charging & more
This handset is tipped to feature a 64-megapixel main camera, in addition to an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 16-megapixel selfie camera was also mentioned a while back.
The Nokia Sentry 5G is said to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Well, at least one of its variants will offer such a combo. A 4,600mAh battery was also mentioned, and the same goes for 33W wired charging.
What about the price, though? Well, the phone is expected to cost around $500, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. We don’t know when will the device launch, but the Nokia XR20 arrived in July 2021. So, it’s possible this phone will launch around the same time this year.
