Samsung AR Zone is getting improvements to the AR Emoji Editor component through a new Galaxy Store update that pushes the app to version 5.2.00.10.

The update is quite sizeable and weighs a little over 175MB. AR Emoji Editor 5.2.00.10 fixes errors that the changelog doesn’t specify but also adds an accessibility feature. Thanks to this update, AR Emoji Editor now supports talkback.

New accessibility tools are appreciated and should be integrated with more apps and services. Every step Samsung takes toward this goal is commendable. But this addition is also quite surprising.

AR Emoji Editor is a component that relies a lot on visuals and graphics. Rudimentary as it may be next to a full-blown 3D modeling app, it still is a character creator with dozens upon dozens of options for face styles and virtual clothing. Therefore, making the talkback accessibility feature truly useful for AR Emoji Editor must have been a real challenge. Assuming it is indeed useful to visually-impaired Galaxy device users to the point where they can create emojis. Hopefully, Samsung worked its magic, and more people can now use this fun tool to create 3D avatars.

The latest AR Emoji Editor version is available through the Galaxy Store. You can use the link to access it, or if you already have the app installed on your Samsung mobile device, you can open the Galaxy Store app and tap the “Menu” button followed by “Updates” to see if the latest version is waiting for you.

And in case you’re wondering about the capabilities of AR Emoji, you can learn more from our in-depth overview and step-by-step guide.
