Just a few weeks after opening the One UI 5.0 beta program for the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has also released it for the Galaxy S21 series. The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra in South Korea.

Some Galaxy S21 users who have enrolled their phones in the One UI 5.0 beta program have already started getting the update.

If you live in South Korea and have a Galaxy S21 series phone, you can register your device to get this beta update by installing the Samsung Members app from the Play Store (or Galaxy Store), logging in to the app, tapping on the Galaxy S21 One UI 5.0 beta update banner on the home page, and registering your device.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update is expected to bring most of the new and improved features we saw on the Galaxy S22 series. Some of those features include an enhanced Color Palette feature, stacked widgets, slight design changes for notifications, improved privacy and security, Samsung DeX UI improvements, better multitasking gestures, and the OCR feature in the camera and Gallery apps.

Samsung could soon open the One UI 5.0 beta program for the Galaxy S21 series in other markets, including China, Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and the US. It is expected that after a few beta releases, Samsung’s high-end smartphones will get the stable Android 13 update by the end of 2022.
